In 2017, Firestation #2 in Houston’s East End, was awarded a Good Brick award by Preservation Houston for the conversion of the long abandoned firestation into a community event space and residence. It is part of a new community, orchestrated by the new owners, called 2East, and includes six Victorian-era residences moved to the adjacent properties.
