East End Firestation No.2
This 1910 brick Firestation, built to accommodate horse-drawn engines, was converted to a single family residence. The ground floor serves as a community gathering space, host to many non-profit, political, and social events. The upper floor is a private residence, a gleaming space with a modern appeal in contrast to the beadboard, original windows and rooftop views. Interior design by Martha Baxter Interiors. Construction by Urban Craft Custom Builders. Photography by Jack Thompson.
